NOW Attacks Obama

According to The Washington Post, The National Organization for Women (NOW) has again gone on the offensive (wait a minute-- when are they not offensive?!) and attacked Barack Obama for not being pro-abortion enough.

In my opinion, if you are pro-abortion, there's no wiggle room left.

But NOW has endorsed Hillary and therein lies their problem-- they have to try and convince voters that Hillary is the best candidate for keeping abortion available on demand. Assuming that the group still has any influence over anyone under the age of 35, the e-mail NOW sent is intended to sway voters, in particular women voters, that Barack Obama is not as committed to abortion because of his "present" votes on Illinois legislation that would have banned partial-birth abortions.

According to the Post,

Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.), an Obama supporter, sent out a reply to the NOW e-mail yesterday afternoon, defending his record on abortion and criticizing the e-mail as an effort to "to falsely attack and artificially divide us."

"The facts are clear -- in the Illinois state senate, choice advocates asked strong pro-choice legislators like Senator Obama to vote 'present' on Republican-designed bills like a ban on partial birth abortion to protect a woman's right to choose," she wrote. "Senator Obama has always had a 100 percent pro-choice rating, and he is the only candidate running for President who stood up and spoke out when South Dakota passed an incredibly restrictive ban on abortion."

Not sure how you can be any "more" pro-abortion than that.
