Huckabee and Romney on Top

Well, Iowa really wasn't surprising in a sense. Huckabee has been going strong. What was a little surprising was strength of his numbers. I expected them to be high but his were far better than I had expected. Romney did well also and while Iowa is a strong showing for both candidates, what it helps them with the most is fundraising.

Iowa

Well, Iowa is almost upon us and, as usual, the media will try to use the results like tea leaves to predict what will happen in November.

Romney and Huckabee are doing well in Iowa but the state is known for being conservative. That said, I think it will give us a feel for how a good sized portion of the Republican Party is leaning in this contest.
