Just So You Know. . .

I am amazed at how many people think Barack Obama isn't pro-abortion. Yes, you read that correctly.

As I mentioned in my previous post, my apologies for not posting every day as I have in the past. I'm still getting a handle on teaching and it takes up a lot of my time.

One of my students in Speech class today mentioned that Barack Obama, "Really isn't for abortion." Of course, this being a private, Christian school, most of the other kids jumped on that saying, "Yeah, he is!" and "What do you mean, he's not really 'for abortion?'" Of course, a brief argument ensued and though this student can't vote since she's a sophomore in high school, it is likely that her parents will vote for Barack Obama since her political views are probably formed by theirs.

So, in an effort to set the record straight, once again these are the facts:

1. Barack Obama has a perfect record from groups NARAL and Planned Parenthood.

2. Barack Obama not only voted against the Illinois version of the Born Alive Infants Protection Act, he blocked language that would have clarified that the bill was specifically dealing with children born alive and not abortion.

3. Barack Obama has promised to appoint judges to the courts who believe in the "living" Constitution-- meaning that judges will be free to interpret laws how they wish and legislate from the bench.
